In the dark corridor
of a mansion the creeping sound of wooden floors expanding and walls breathing seemed to fill the house. Dust covered the furniture and windowsills leaving an eerie feeling in the pit of your stomach as you walk
into the entrance way which reveals two grand stair cases and a chandelier that obviously needed some work.
“M…Miss Sinodell…are you here?”
A man walks to center
of the floor as a pair of doors opens and give way to a 19 year old elegantly porcelain skinned girl. “Oh!” The man gasps, “You
frightened me. I have the papers to the house.
It is legally yours now.” He said looking around the old place obviously
not enjoying himself much in the house.
She walks up to
him taking the papers in his hand as a small smile plays on her lips and her midnight blue eyes follow his movements. “Are you afraid Mr. Smith?”
“Oh? No. No. You know this house has quiet
a story… There was a girl who went missing in this very house. It was about 60 or 70 years ago but they say she still haunts it.”
He paused still a little shaken. “Are you sure this is the house
you want?”
Rayne nods as the
man sighed and started towards the front door to leave. “It was 81 years
ago by the way…”
The man turned around. “Excuse me miss?”
“The girl…she
vanished 81 years ago…and she never really vanished…” She looked
up from the house papers to the man with s smile of death on her lips.
